Special Object Types

Special objects are used for fine-tuning the scene. These objects are added in the Editor and possess special properties.

Editor supports the following types of special objects:
Dummy helper object used for scene optimization, scripts etc.
Event object (trigger) for graphic and sound effects
Fauna adds fauna to the scene
Level item used for placing of various items that can be picked up by a player, such as weapons
Light omni-directional light and spotlight
MP Helper helper object for MP game, used for adding flags, ammo crates etc.
North star
Player helper object used for placement of scripted characters in SP and MP coop games
Recovery point recovery points for MP game players
Script helper helper object used by a script
Sound switch sound system helper object which determines places where sound settings are changed (e.g. for EAX)
Spectator camera spectator camera for MP game
Way point helper object for AI pathfinding in SP and MP cooperative game

  SP - single player game
  MP - multiplayer
